On desktop, downloading an X (Twitter) video is usually a two-step flow: copy the tweet link and paste it into a downloader. XSaver keeps it simple and avoids extra installs.
Step 1: Copy the tweet link
Open the tweet that contains the video, click Share, then choose Copy link.
Step 2: Paste into XSaver
Open XSaver in a new tab, paste the link, and click Download. XSaver will fetch the available MP4 variants and pick the best quality by default.
Step 3: Save the MP4
Your browser will download the file like any normal attachment. If your browser asks where to save, pick your preferred folder (Downloads/Desktop).
Common issues
- Private tweets: Protected accounts can’t be accessed.
- Wrong URL: Make sure it’s a tweet URL containing
/status/. - Temporary failures: Try again after a few minutes if X is rate limiting.
